In January of 1997, St. John's Hospital - Berryville began an affiliation with St. John's Health System in Springfield, Missouri - a member of the Sisters of Mercy Health System of St. Louis, Missouri. This partnership has allowed for enhanced services already being provided by St. John's Hospital - Berryville which is evidenced by the completion of an expansion project in 2000.

With its community-centered approach, St. John's Hospital - Berryville offers services in a rural setting found most often in urban areas. Backed by Board Certified family practice physicians and complimented by general and orthopaedic surgeons, a wide range of services are offered featuring the latest in technological advancements.

Inpatient services include the departments of medicine, surgery, telemetry, respiratory, intensive care and obstetrics. An Emergency Department staffed by a physician and Certified Emergency Room Nurses is provided 24 hours per day.


Outpatient services include home health, hospice, wellness, health education, cardio-pulmonary rehab, diabetic teaching and follow up, support groups; and therapy services including occupational, physical and speech/language. A home medical equipment rental outlet provides needed medical equipment to patients' homes from two convenient locations in Berryville and Eureka Springs.
